Our first stop on the trip was the Henri-Chapelle World War II cemetery near Leige, Belgium.  There are 7,989 graves here, making it the largest World War II cemetery in Belgium.

the rolling farmland around the cemetery is where some of the major battles of the Battle of the Bulge were fought at.

After visiting the cemetery, we had a picnic lunch in the car and headed on to our resort at Lacs de l’Eau d’Heure.

Mom was able to book us a really good deal at the Landal Vacation Park at Lacs de l’Eau d’Heure.  Vacation parks like this are very popular in Belgium and Holland and have lots of neat things like indoor swimming pools and playgrounds to keep 2 year olds occupied.  We stayed in a two bedroom cabin that had plenty of room for me to run around in.
