Bingen and Burg Sooneck
The first place we went was Burg Klopp. This hill has been the home of a castle structure since 1282. The current castle is now the City Hall for Bingen.

After lunch we headed up the hillside to the Rochuskapelle- St. Roch Chapel. This was originally built in 1666, and is where the relics of St. Hildegard are at. There was a wedding taking place at the Church, so we couldn't go in, but it was nice to walk around the grounds.
After the church, I was ready for a nap, so we jumped back in the car and headed northwest about 5km to see some of the castle ruins. Two of the three castles were really crowded, so we just stopped at Burg Sooneck. Since there were so many stairs, I had to get in my backpack to take the tour. The tour of the interior of the castle was in German and you couldn't take pictures, but it was still cool!!
