Frohe Weihnachten or Merry Christmas from Allison!!!

I spent Christmas eve getting ready for the big day.  I helped Mom in the kitchen, made sure the Christmas tree was looking good, and gave a quick trumpet lesson to one of my stuffed animals.  Germans open gifts and have the traditional Christmas dinner on Christmas eve, but we will do all of that on Christmas after Santa Claus comes.

Of course I woke up bright and early on Christmas morning to see if Santa had come to visit.  It was still dark (the sun doesn't rise here until about 8:15), but Mom said we could get started opening gifts anyway.  I got lots of new Play-Dooh things, coloring books and art supplies, some new Leap Pad alphabet letters, the PlayMobil farm set, and lots of good things in my "junk" box.  The best thing though is my very own digital camera from Grandma and Grandpa Brunjes!!!! I have been taking pictures all morning and can't wait to take my camera out on an adventure. Mom will also be creating a section of the website where I can show off my pictures.

My friend Maya and her family came over after lunch, but I was really tired and had to take a little rest.  After my nap I was still a little grouchy and didn't want to put on my special Christmas outfit.  I got so worked up that I gave myself a bloody nose, so Mom said that I could just wear my kitty shirt and sweatpants.  We had a yummy dinner (good job Mom) and then we opened gifts with Maya.  Maya got me a big Magna Doodle and some wood food for my kitchen and I got Maya a wood train and two puzzles.
