Today was our last day to explore in Italy.  We took a quick trip to Cortona to do some last minute shopping and to have a nice lunch.  If you have seen the movie "Under the Tuscan Sun", this is the city that it takes place in.

as we were driving out of town, Mom saw the signs pointing to the Etruscan tombs.  Of course she couldn't pass this up, so we drove around on a gravel road for awhile trying to find it.  When we finally did, it was fenced and locked.  Mom was able to get a few pictures, and we later found out that you have to have a guide to actually go in the tombs.  I guess this will be one of the excuses Mom uses to go back to Italy!
