Today was our day to leave Italy and head back to Germany.  We were all really sad to leave La Falconara and hope that we can go back after Dad gets home from Iraq.  The drive home was pretty uneventful, except for the traffic which was terrible the whole way.

Mom had one more surprise up her sleeve-we had decided to spend the night in Garmisch and she made reservations at a hotel that you have to ride a cable car to get to.  I love cable cars!!!

the hotel had a great restaurant/beer garden where they were having traditional Bavarian music.  We enjoyed a good German dinner, the music, and the view of the mountains.
