On July 13th we took a trip to Mainz.  This is the other city that the Army Base is close to.  There are a lot of neat things to see there, but we spent the afternoon at the Mainz Dom.  Dom is just another name for Cathedral.  They began building this Cathedral in the late 1100s and it took nearly 400 years to finish it.  I had a really good time looking around and listening to the organist practice.
