We went to Rothenburg to meet up with Ron and Susan Atteberry-our friends from Lebanon!!!!  They have been traveling in Europe for the last two weeks with a group of high school musicians from Missouri.  It was so great to see friends from where we used to live, plus Mom had a great time catching up on all the Missouri music teacher gossip. there was a fest going on, so we got to see a parade before the Jazz and Concert Bands gave their concerts on the main square.   

While the Jazz and Concert Bands where doing there concerts-and Mom and the Atterberrys were talking-I took lots and lots of pictures!!!!!

After a bratwurst, we headed to the choir concert.  Mr. Atteberry was one of the conductors and the choir also sang one of his compositions.  I did a really good job during the concert of staying quiet and Mom let me take some more pictures. 

After the concert, we ate a nice dinner and then walked around the city.  It was great to see the Atteberrys and I can't wait to see them again when we get back to the States.

on the way back to Wiesbaden we stopped at the Schloss Mespelbrunn.  The descendants of the royal family that build this castle still live here, so you can only tour the interior during certain times.  Mom and I had a good time just walking around the grounds and watching the fish in the moat.
