Daddy has a four day weekend because of President's Day, so we headed to Rothenburg for the annual Volksmarch.  A Volksmarch is basically a bunch of people getting together to walk around for an afternoon.  It is a very popular sport in Germany with thousands of people walking in Volksmarches every weekend. 

Mom and I have visited Rothenburg in the Fall with the FRG group, but Daddy had never been there before.  We went down on Friday so that we could look around the town, mom could go to the Christmas  store, and then be ready to Volksmarch on Saturday.

This is the guesthouse that we stayed at.  A retired German couple rent three rooms in the upstairs of their house.  They were really nice and had an awesome breakfast for us!!   

     One of the best things about Rothenburg is that it is still surrounded by it's Medieval Walls.  You can walk along some parts of the wall and get a great view of the city.

Rothenburg has a large Medieval Crime and Torture Museum that Daddy enjoyed.  I haven't been bad so I'm not sure why they are trying to put me in the Stocks!!
