Worms has a very important Cathedral, Martin Luther statue, and Jewish Cemetery that mom wanted to see.  To get to Worms from Wiesbaden you drive along the Rhine River through some of the largest vineyards in the world.

The Cathedral was built beginning in 1125.  It is known as a  Romanesque imperial cathedral, which makes it a very important Cathedral and similar to the Cathedral in Mainz

This is the Martin Luther statue.  Martin Luther came to Worms in 1521 and refused to recant his teachings in front if the Imperial Diet.

Worms had one of the largest and oldest Jewish communities in Europe.  The Jewish cemetery here is the oldest in Europe and survived World War II undamaged.  Most of the gravestones are from the 11th century.
